Culture...

Culture... is not easy to define, but I believe that culture in reality is what keeps us together. Is the form in that how we relate. But also is considered a degree of knowledge, study. You know more about certain subjects such as music, literature, science, cinema, among many others. 

Really I think both are parts or glances culture.

Chileans are people who like football, typical food, for example chicha and empanada. But the Chilean people in ocassions is a little distant and mistrustful, but in other occasions they are really are really generous, friendly and very kind.

We are different people from other side of America that are happier and relaxed.

In my culture, I believe exist some topics which are difficult to talk, for example homosexuality, social differences and education. Maybe this is because even hard for people to express themselves. But we need work need to work these issues for a better society. 

Today globalization is all over the world. I think that part is good but also bad things. In Chile this phenomenon has gone and changed the culture, which I think has brought more harm than good.

Something positive about globalization is that it is easier to communicate between different countries.

Now something bad is related to food. Because when this phenomenon came, changed the type of feed to fattening and unhealthy, the famous junk food.

   

There are many things that are typical of the Chilean people, but one in particular that I like is the solidarity that is in difficult times. For example when was the earthquake, or every year that makes the Teleton, always all people donating money and other things to help.

The culture is a issue extensive and very interesting to speak, I believe is really necessary that we thinking about this, because is the best form to improve as a society.

Photography

I`m thinking about photography, in general I´m not a fanatic of this, I don´t have a camera because... I don´t know, mayby I don´t called my attention. I don´t have a collection of photos, I just have someone, when I was child, my first year in a school, but recently photos I haven´t almost.

Ohhhh, I haven´t photolog, I don´t like, is really strange... many people seeing your photos, what do you do, etc. I prefer other things, for example Facebook, in this I have only what I want and just my friend can see.

Although it´s clear I don´t like photography in general, I remember a photo in particular, this photo I like, I believe is for the content.. That photo is of my family.

Was taken for my father, and was many years ago. I don´t remember very well, but I suppose was in a Holydays, specifically in a summer on the beach.

I was 5 or 6 years, and we were in a house on the beach, my mom, my father, and my 2 sister. I remember that this place was really beautiful. The photo was taken at the night, the last night of the vacation, and we were eating... it was delicious. And in this moment when the dinner was finished, my dad pulled out his camera and He said smiles!!!!! and took the photo.

I like this photo because shows a beautiful moment, and every time I see, I´m happy, and I can remember this holidays and that we were really happy.

Maybe in the future I will buy a camera, because there may be situations that I want to immortalize....

Is beauty in occasions seeing a photo.

The Paedophile in the Catholic Church

Today, the paedophile is at the center of the news, especially the cases given in the church.

In Chile have been many cases in the last time, for example Karadima, Melipilla and Cotolengo cases.

The Church for a first time is punishing this paedophile priests.



I think that the paedophile doesn´t happen in general, but exist more cases that are wanted.

Is impossible not to think that exist a paedophile ring in the church, because has been covered several cases of paedophile priest around the world, so the high command of the church knew it.



In special in the Karadima`s case, I´m disagree with the opinion that the affected people was old enough to know what they were doing. This is because he was your priest, and he had power over them.

Proceeds from this the church has lost followers, it´s because the people not believe anymore in this institution and they see in the church today a enemy. Maybe if the church takes a stronger attitude against the pedophiles, the Catholic people wouldn´t leave this institution.

To stop sexual abuse in the church, I would do all reports of these cases, for the church, the press, and much education for parents and children about how to prevent these abuses keep happening, and if it occur, immediately, report.

The paedophile in general is a complicated event, when is in the church all is more complicated yet. For this all people always should be aware.

Honestly, I expect this doesn´t happened again.

My favourite piece of technology

Today the technology is very important in all world, because we use to communicate, or for learning more. But in this technology world, I prefer some things.

I have two favourite pieces of technology, the first is a laptop, and the second is mp3 or ipod.

The lap top is a personal computer and is more confortable that traditional computer. The mp3 or ipod is a object to listen music in the street, a bus, walking or at home, anywhere, too is a personal object.

 I got this artefacts for over 4 years, I don`t remember exactly, but for a long long time... and the true I can`t stay without them.

The lap top I use it for writing works at the University, to speak with my friends in Facebook or Msn, to learn and reed different thing, and sometimes I game.

The mp3 I use to listen music and too to record classs, but usually I use only for be listening. 

Both objects I alwais use, because every day exist many things for do it, and every day I need listen music, at the  morning, when I travel, or when I relax.

I like the lap top, because I always use a lot,  is very comfortable and it is beauty, I have a Packard Bell, and I like.

The mp3 is very simple, because it is small, and I can save everywhere, and the most important I love it, because with it I can listen music whenever. 

Finally  I think that my life out it, would be terrible!!!!!!! If I can´t listen music I died, really it is not exaggeration, and without my computer I can`t do my works and every thingd that I do on the computer.

I remenber in one ocassion my lap top failed and I didn´t that to do when it was at the technical center. So without my mp3 or mi lap top I can´t do nothing!!!!!

My Free Time!!!!

Today I write of my free time, this is very important because it´s necessary for relax or just listen music, sleep, etc. But now, I don´t have enouhg free time, This is it my last year at the University so tu require much time.

In the little free time I have, I prefer listen music, to relax and go out with my friends or my family.

When I have free time and stay at home I read some book, and listen much music of my computer and the online radios so I listen only music that I like, as pop, reggae, classical music and rock. Sometimes  I watch TV, for example to seea a interesting movie. But I love laze =)

There´s something I don´t like, indoor games, when I was child I played draughts, and cards, but now I think is really bored !!!!!

But sometimes If someone asks me I play.

I like go to the cinema, restaurant or go to take a coffee.

When I was a child I had any hobbies, I played tennis, karate, and painting classes, I know that I miss something, but I had very very things.

The next weekend I going to go Aldea del Encuentro, a Organisc fair, and go to the cinema with my best friend.

Finally I think that I do use well my spare time , I do many things, I know that I have a little free time, but I try use it well, because I do things that I want.

Ignacio Martín Baró a interesting person

He is Ignacio Martín Baró(1942-1989).

He was a Spanish psychol and jesuist priest, but he lived for many years in Latin American, exactly in one country, El Salvador. In this place for a long time was a civil war. Here he was a teacher of the University CentroAmerican "José Simeón Cañas" (UCA), here he was a Director of the department Psychology and Education. He fought for the Human  Rights in the Salvador. Finally he was killed for the salvadorean army, along with the other priest.  

In your life he writed and published 11 books, but other person also writed of your life and your ideological thought. He was a referent for the Liberation Psychology, and gave other perspective of the Latin American Psychology.  

Two of his works is the book "Liberation Psychology" and "Power, Ideologic and Violence". In this works he speaks of the equality, represion, power, human rights and the other things about your social thought. This publications are a example for the SocialPsychology, because is a  other perspective about the social processes in Latin American. Your theory is very important in the present day.

I like him work, because your theory shows a reality of this continent, and help for understand the processes that are between the conflict and the other social problems as the unequal. In my opinion for my career Martín Baró and his thought of society it`s very important for change the violence, unequal, poverty and education in Latin American.

So i believe that more people should read his work.

Hello, my name is Javiera. people call me Javi, Ita, Pancha... so can you tell me or call me with this names. I´m studying psychology at the University of Chile and this is my last year. I was born in Santiago, but I love the beach.

Mmmm, my dream job is in my own psychological consultation.
